2.2 All minimum essential qualification(s) must be from UGC recognized Indian
University/ UGC recognized Indian Deemed University or AICTE approved courses
from Autonomous Indian Institutions/ concerned statutory council (wherever
applicable). Diploma in Engineering qualifications (if applicable) should be
recognized by respective State Board of Technical Education.
2.3 Minimum percentage of marks in the essential qualification as indicated above shall
be aggregate of all semesters/ years to be calculated taking average of all
semesters/ years, irrespective of the weightages given to any particular semester/
year by the Institute/ University.Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Chemical/ Petrochemical/ Chemical Technology/ Petrochemical Technology with minimum 65 % marks.

Age Limit : Upper age limit 30 years as on (30.04.2013).UPPER AGE LIMIT AND AGE RELAXATION
4.1 The Upper Age Limit is 30 years as on 30/04/2013.
4.2 The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates, 3 years for OBC
(Non‐Creamy Layer) candidates. It is also relaxable by 05 years for PWD‐General,
08 years for PWD‐OBC (NCL) and 10 years for PWD‐SC/ ST candidates. The upper
age limit is also relaxable by 05 years for candidates domiciled in the State of
Jammu & Kashmir between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989.
4.3 In case of Ex-servicemen who have put in not less than six months continuous
service in the Armed Forces of the Union, they shall be allowed to deduct the period
of such service from their actual age, and if the resultant age does not exceed by
more than 3 years the maximum age limit prescribed for the posts/ services for
which a candidate seeks appointment, he/ she be deemed to satisfy the conditions
regarding the age limit.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.24900 – 50500/- (E-2 Grade) at the Basic Pay of Rs.24900/- with one year probation in E-2 Grade.

Application Fee: Candidates belonging to General and OBC (Non Creamy Layer) category are required to pay a non‐refundable application fees of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) by Demand Draft / Pay Order drawn in favour of GAIL (India) Limited payable at New Delhi. AGE:- The applicants should have a minimum age of 21 years and
maximum age of 45 as on 1.07.2013.
PARA-IV: SELECTION PROCEDURE :
1. As per G.O.Ms.No.214 General Administration (SER.A) Dept., dated
08.05.2001, selection shall be made only on the basis of marks
obtained in the qualifying academic examinations passed by the
candidate.
2. Candidature of only those candidates who have attained the minimum
marks prescribed for various posts in Qualifying Academic Examination
will be processed further.
3. However, having the minimum prescribed essential qualifications in
itself does not entitle the candidate for selection.
4. Selection of candidates for appointment is purely on the basis of
percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying academic examination
prescribed for the post. Merit list will be prepared based on the
percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying academic examination in
descending order. The candidate with the maximum percentage of
marks in the qualifying academic examination will be placed first in the
merit list and accordingly considered for selection and subsequent posts
will be filled up strictly basing on the order of merit of percentage of
marks.
5. If there is a tie between two or more candidates in the order of merit,
selection will be made based upon the date of Birth of the said
candidates and the senior most will be considered i.e to say that in case
of a tie in percentage of marks if candidate A’s date of birth is
15.01.1990 and that of candidate B is 20.06.1989 then candidate B will
be selected for appointment. If in case date of birth is also the same,
percentage of marks obtained in the next lower examination will be
considered. If that is also found to be equal, the person who applied
first will be considered as per the serial no. indicated in their on-line
application receipt.
6. If an applicant is selected for more than one post he/she shall furnish
an option for the post opted within the time prescribed. Option once
exercised will be final and irrevocable. If no option is received within
the time prescribed appointment to one of the posts shall be made at
the discretion of the Management which shall be final and binding on
the candidate.
7. Individual intimations will be sent to the selected candidates by post for
attending for verification of certificates. Hence, the applicants are
advised to mention correct postal address of correspondence. The
corporation will not be liable for any mis communication in this regard.
8. If any candidate furnishes false and misleading information, Criminal
and other legal proceedings will be initiated by the Corporation.
9. The number of vacancies indicated is provisional and may increase or
decrease and even become ‘Nil’ depending upon the actual requirement
of the Corporation. The Corporation also reserves the right to cancel all
notified vacancies at its discretion and such decision will be final and
binding on all. In the event of cancellation of the notified vacancies, the
expenditure borne, if any by the candidate for filing on-line application
will not be refunded.
10.Candidates trying to use influence or unfair means will be disqualified
from selection at any stage.

occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development. All
the cases of Orthopaedically Challenged Persons would be covered
under the category of ‘Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy’.
(iii) A person having a minimum of 40% physical impairment with disability of
one hand or one leg provided independent mobility is not affected is

Sub-Inspector in CAPFs : The post carries pay scale of Rs 9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200 and is classified as Group „B‟ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial as per letter No.I-45023/4/2010-Pers.II dated 29th March 2011 from Ministry of Home Affairs. Sub Inspector in Delhi Police : The post carries pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 and is classified as Group „C‟ by Delhi Police. Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF: The post carries pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 in PB-2 with Grade Pay of Rs.2800/- and is classified as Group „C‟.

Commission will hold an All India Examination for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police(DP) and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) , Assistant Sub-Inspectors in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Intelligence Officer in Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) . Graduation from a recognized University or equivalent is the minimum educational qualification. The Examination will comprise of Written Examination in two phases- Physical Endurance Test, Medical Examination and Interview/personality test.

In view of the anticipated large number of applicants, scrutiny of the eligibility and other aspects will not be undertaken before the Written Examination and, therefore, the candidature will be accepted only provisionally. Candidates are advised to go through the requirements of educational qualification, age, physical standards, etc. and satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the posts, before applying. Copies of supporting documents will be sought only from those candidates who qualify in the Written Examination. When scrutiny is undertaken after the Written Examination, if any claim made in the application is not found substantiated the candidature will be cancelled and the Commission‟s decision in this regard shall be final.

Candidates seeking reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC/Minorities/ EXS must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice. They should also be in possession of the certificates in the format prescribed by Government of India in support of their claim.

Candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped category are not eligible to apply for this examination.

Central Government civilian employees claiming age relaxation should be in possession of a certificate in the prescribed format from their office in respect of the length of continuous service which should be for not less than three years in the immediate period preceding the closing date for receipt of application. They should continue to have the status of Central Government civilian employees from the day of application till the time of appointment on the basis of their performance in this examination to be eligible for such age relaxation.

FEE: RUPEES ONE HUNDRED ONLY(Rs 100 ) payable through CRF Stamp in case of Off-line or SBI Challan or on-line payment through State Bank of India for on-line applications. CANDIDATES TO ENSURE THEIR ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EXAMINATION:

Qualification: The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

Age Limits : A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2013, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1983 and not later than 1st August, 1992.

Application Fee: Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH Candidates who are exempted from pay- ment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees Hundred only) either by re- mitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner& Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

Number of attempts: Every candidate appearing at the examination who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted four attempts at the examination.
